(Met you in my nightmarish dream walk)
(You stake out on the other side of the Earth)
(I am stuck here)
(Separating us is not ocean)
(but sea of tears)
(Sooner or later we must all pack up and travel afar)
(But such massive sudden exodus)
(pains even the Sichuan mountains' stony heart)
(and tunes your hometown's rivers to songs of elegy)
(How I wish you departed)
(a bit slower)
(a bit later)
(after you kissed your parents)
(and hugged them one last time)
(But a baby-faced you)
(refused the oppression of fallen rocks)
(and the bully of downpouring storm)
(You jumped out of the darkness of the deep)
(and leaped under the shining heavenly light)
(into the yonder world)
(My prayer amid grieving misery)
(reflects a common wish)
(You promise me)
(a reunion that will turn my weeping into jolly laughing)
